GK3 Walkthrough - Day 2, 10am-12pm

You begin the timeblock as Gabriel in

Gabriel's Room
First of all get the second fingerprint kit from the table (01, 251/965), then go out in the Hotel Hall. Here you'll find Roxanne, the chambermaid, that is just beginning her cleaning duties around the rooms - all the hotel guests are on tour with Madeline. When Roxanne after having cleaned your room enters Emilio's one, wait until she exits with the dirty sheets and puts away from the doorway her trolley, then enter in the room (using the "peek" icon).

Emilio's Room
Take a quick look around: you'll notice a dumbwaiter similar to the one that is in your room on the wall on the left. Unlock it (click on it and use the "unlock" icon) (02, 253/965), then sneak out quickly in the Hotel Hall. Note: if Roxanne sees you twice in a room that's not yours, next time Gabriel will refuse to enter in any room while she's cleaning it; thus you wouldn't be able to get in all the rooms. When Roxanne exits from Emilio's Room, she'll go in Madeline's one. Enter in the same way as you did before.

Madeline's Room
There's no dumbwaiter here, but there's a door leading to the balcony: you can exit there to hide from Roxanne (04, 257/965) and, when she's locked the room, return in, unlock the door (02, 259/965) and exit in the

Hotel Hall
Well done: soon you'll have free access to all the hotel rooms! Next room is Lady Howard and Estelle's one: it's similar to Madeline's one, so do the same you have just done (04+02, 265/965). Then sneak in Buchelli's Room: do the same you did in Emilio's Room (02, 267/965), because the only difference here is that the dumbwaiter is on the right wall. Do the same also in Wilkes' Room, which mirrors your one (02, 269/965). Now go downstairs in the

Hotel Lobby
After your conversation with Jean, talk again to him about "food" (02, 271/965):
I know that you aren't hungry, actually, but usually dumbwaiters lead to the kitchen and if you get there, you could re-enter the rooms from there... Jean of course will let you go in the kitchen: he doesn't want his guests to die of hunger! Go across the Hotel Dining Room, open the door on the other side of the room and enter the

Hotel Kitchen
You'll find one of the dumbwaiters on each side of the main door: on the left (when facing it) there's the one that leads to your and Emilio's rooms. Open the dumbwaiter door (02, 273/965), then use the crank next to it to lower the dumbwaiter platform (click on it, then use the "turn" icon). Now you can enter the dumbwaiter: when inside, use the pulley on the left to raise the platform, then get through the door on the upper side of the dumbwaiter screen in

Emilio's Room
(04, 277/965) There's really nothing interesting here, except the book on the table (which you cannot read because it's written in Aramaic) and the little picture of a Jesus-like man, on which strangely there aren't any fingerprints. Anyway try to search the left bed (click on it, then use the "search" icon) (02, 279/965): you'll find a piece of cloth that looks pretty old. Very odd. Hmm... Return in the Hotel Kitchen: use the dumbwaiter on the right from the front door and, when in, get through the door on the upper side of the dumbwaiter screen in

Buchelli's Room
(04, 283/965) There are few interesting items: first open his chest of drawers. Surprise! Buchelli is a priest! Search his pants (04, 287/965): you'll find the stub of his train ticket, and if you take a look at it in your inventory, you'll see that it isn't from Naples but from Rome. This would mean that Buchelli is from the Vatican? It would be good if you found his fingerprints somewhere: what about his suitcase? Don't touch it (If you take it in hands you might cancel the prints by accident, of course), but use on it the kit to get his fingerprints (select the kit in your inventory, then click on the suitcase and use the "object" icon). The screen that appears has on the left the fingerprint kit with all its elements and on the right the object you want to check. Click on the brush, then on the black powder, then click on the suitcase on the right and, keeping still pushed the mouse button, move the mouse around until the print appears or Gabriel makes some comments. Then click on the tape you find on the right of the kit and, when selected, click on the print. Then click with the printed tape on the paper cards on the very left of the kit to get a fingerprint card. (02, 289/965). There's nothing more you can do in this room, so get through the dumbwaiter in

Wilkes' Room
(04, 293/965) Don't bother with the big mess in the room and look directly at the papers on the table in the corner: there's a letter there. Read it (01, 294/965). It seems that Wilkes isn't that stupid he's pretending to be... Exit through the door from Wilkes' Room and enter

Madeline's Room
Open the drawers of the chest next to her wardrobe and pick up the map that's inside (02, 296/965): you'll have to return it back later, of course. Then search the bed (02, 298/965): Madeline is really too equipped to be a simple tourist guide... Take her fingerprints from the gun you've just found (02, 300/965), then go in

Lady Howard and Estelle's Room
First of all search the bed (02, 302/965): it seems that all every female hotel guest has her own secrets... Take the parchments you've found (02, 304/965) (of course they have to be brought back, too), then go through the door on the very left of the room when facing the main door in

Lady Howard and Estelle's Bathroom
Take Lady Howard's fingerprints from the little mirror next to the wash-basin (02, 306/965) and take that nice blue tube with the writing SUPPARATION H that
contains... I won't tell it. I'll only tell you that it reduces... swelling... bleah! (02, 308/965). Go now to the

Cemetery
Arnaud is on tour with Madeline, so it's a good time to take a look at his office. Unfortunately, the window of his office is swollen and you can't open it. Use on it the Supparation H you took from Lady Howard and Estelle's Bathroom (select it in your inventory, then click on the window and use the "object" icon) (02, 310/965), then open the window (02, 312/965) and enter through it in

Abbe's Office
Open the drawer of his desk: inside you'll find a magazine and some cigarettes. Read the magazine (02, 314/965) Why is Arnaud so interested in the European Union? Take his fingerprints from that box of deadly poison that people use to call cigarettes (02, 316/965). Now finally you can return in your room and make order in all the new items you collected: it's time to use

SIDney
Use the "Add data" device. This will make the Inventory open: you need to scan in some of the items to add them to SIDney's database. First scan the tape with Arnaud's phone call (click on it, then use the "SIDney" icon) (02, 318/965), then Madeline's map, both Lady Howard and Estelle's parchments, Madeline, Lady Howard, Buchelli and Arnaud's fingerprints and Emilio, Lady Howard, Buchelli, Wilkes and Mosely's licence plates (01x12, 330/965). Then open the "Suspects" screen and link all the files to the relative suspects (select a file from the "open" menu, then a person from the "suspects" menu and use the "Link to suspect" device from "Links" menu) (01+01+01+01+01+01+01+01, 338/965). Only Mosely's licence plate should remain unlinked. Last, open the "Translation" screen, select Arnaud's phone call from the "Files" menu and translate it from French to your language (02, 340/965). Well done! Now you can bring back Madeline's map and Lady Howard and Estelle's parchments. Go in

Madeline's Room
Open the drawer where you found the map and put it back inside (select it in your inventory, click on the drawer and use the "object" button) (01, 341/965). Then go in

Lady Howard and Estelle's Room
Return the parchments in their folder (01, 342/965), then go finally downstairs: it's lunch time and Roxanne will prepare you a sandwich (with mayonnaise!). Here ends this incredibly long timeblock!
